Kyoko Hashimoto and friends : chamber concerts
Chamber music has always held a key role in Kyoko Hashimoto's musical life, from schooldays when she was on standby to accompany visiting soloists or her first year as a student at Bloomington where so many musicians asked her to play with them (more than thirty) that she was away giving concerts as often as her teacher, Menahem Pressler, was with his Beaux Arts trio.
Musicians with whom she has performed include many of the greatest artists of the late twentieth and twenty-first centuries:
Sandor Végh, Ruggiero Ricci, Anthony Marwood, Thomas Zehetmair, Isabelle van Keulen, Daniel Phillips, Marieke Blankestijn, Nobuko Imai, Bruno Giuranna, Antonio Meneses, Truls Mørk, Steven Isserlis, Paul Watkins, Christoph Richter, Matt Haimovitz, Mischa Maisky, Ditta Rohmann, Ralph Kirshbaum, Barry Tuckwell, Maurice Bourgue, Michael Collins, Aleksandar Madzar.... etc.
These days chamber concerts are as likely to be ad hoc groups playing a programme designed for a special occasion, but at least one piano trio is in preparation and she also has regular partners with whom she has devised the following
