Kyoko Hashimoto: schedule

All Kyoko Hashimoto's recent planned concerts and masterclasses had been cancelled because of COVID 19,
so it was very exciting to have been able to announce an online event:
May 21st, in the 2021 'Accès Asie' festival
Under the subtle title of 'Memories' this concert combined works which were written in memory of someone, works reconstructed by their composer from memory and works from the beginning of a composer's career, so therefore now 'memories' for him. Kyoko Hashimoto also knows two of the composers well, so shared memories must also play their part.
Takemitsu: Litany, for Michael Vyner (1950/1990)
Rain Tree Sketch 2 (1992)
Takahashi: Chained Hands in Prayer (1976, rev. 2002)
Terashima: 12 Preludes (1992)
For the moment the recording is still available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Np0UXnRgdWU
or simply click the image above
The postponed December 20th, 2020 concert of the complete Beethoven cello sonatas, with Rafael Rosenfeld
at the Théâtre Garonne Toulouse, France should happen roughly a year later than planned -
details when finalised will be announced in Chamber Concerts
Summer 2021, Japan:
The recording of Kyoko Hashimoto's next CD (postponed twice since the original date of summer 2020) is still scheduled to go ahead this year despite the worrying recent increase in cases of Covid-19 in the country. For other events in Japan see below:
